The main objective of the Master in Business and Contracting Law is offer a comprehensive education of the business and contracting legal rules, with the practical instruments and other necessary abilities that are useful to improve oneself in the currently globalisation world of the business legal advice. The study of the Business and Contracting Law is carried out from an interdisciplinary point of view. That way, it combines labour, tax, and commercial aspects of the world of business along with the statutory news in the fields of hereditary civil law and private international law relating to the international contracting. This Master has two itineraries: professional and research. The studies of Business Law in our University have been done since 2002, when a specialization in the field of business and contracting law was offered to the students as optional itinerary within the framework of the law degree. This project achieved its consolidation in 2004 by means of a concession to the Doctorate in Business and Contracting Law of a Quality Mention on the part of the ANECA. Moreover, until 2006 a Master in Business Legal Advice was also offered to the students. All this experience converges now in this Official Master’s in Business and Contracting Law (MODEC-MBL) which, apart from including an expert staff of professors in their respective matters, enjoy an ideal atmosphere for the study in the city of Tarragona. The official character of our Master implies that fulfill the criteria and guidelines established by the so-called Bolonia process (1999).
